Mark Matera

Mark joined the Yale Investments Office in 2024 after interning as an undergraduate student. He focuses on the Endowment’s leveraged buyout portfolio. Mark graduated from Yale College in 2024 with a Bachelor of Science in Cognitive Science and certificates in Statistics & Data Science and Education Studies.

Why did you join the Yale Investments Office?

I joined the Yale Investments Office because of the collegial atmosphere and the academic nature of our work. Every day I learn something new and have a talented and fun team around me to support my personal and professional growth as we support the mission of the university. 

What is your favorite spot on Yale’s campus?

My favorite spot on campus is the Lanman Wright Courtyard on Old Campus, especially as the trees begin to change color in the fall. It’s served as a setting for late night conversations, early morning reads, and the best place to open and close my college years.
