Michael Byrnes

Mike joined the Yale Investments Office in July 2018 after interning as an undergraduate. He focuses on the Endowment’s developed equities and marketable alternatives portfolios, asset allocation, and Yale’s retirement asset portfolios. Mike graduated from Yale College in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science.

What is one thing you love about being a member of the Yale Investments Office team?

I love that our work allows Yale to expand financial aid to more students.

What was your favorite class in college?

CPSC 365: Design and Analysis of Algorithms, taught by Dan Spielman (closely followed by ECON 450: Investment Analysis, taught by David Swensen and Dean Takahashi!)
