1. Collection of personal information

In addition to the personal information described in the Yale Privacy Statement, the University may collect, receive, process, use, store, and transfer the following information to register, enforce, and perform other actions in connection with the Program:

• Information you provide directly to us, such as your name, contact details, educational and work history, and other information submitted in connection with the application process and your interactions with the University related thereto, including if you are accepted to the Program.
• Information we gather from other sources, such as reference providers, your current and former employers, your current and former academic institutions, governmental agencies, regulatory bodies, and background check providers.
• Information that is automatically collected when interacting with a University website or mobile application.

2. Use of personal information

 In addition to the purposes described in the Yale Privacy Statement, we will use your personal information in the following circumstances:

• Processing your application for the Program; assessing your skills, qualifications, and suitability for the Program; and communicating with you about the application and interview process.
• Keeping records relating to the application process; contacting you about opportunities that may arise in the future; and fulfilling the University’s legal obligations to conduct background, screening, and eligibility checks.
• Generating insights into the investment management industry, including characteristics that may be predictive of success as an emerging investment manager; determining how to identify and attract such individuals to the Program; and generally building on Yale’s expertise and network.

3. Retention of personal information

The University will retain personal information about you until an application decision is made and for a certain period thereafter. Where required or permitted to do so by applicable law, the University will retain certain personal information, such as contact information and professional biography, indefinitely. For applicants who are admitted to the Program, the University retains personal information for the purposes and duration described in the Yale Privacy Statement.  If you would like to request deletion of personal information collected by the University, please submit a Privacy Data Request at https://yalesurvey.ca1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_0eqENgYlxjUpqfA.

4. Changes to this Privacy Statement

This Privacy Statement may be changed from time to time, and updates will be posted to this website.  This version is current as of August 2024.
